The utility systems are not what we are used to in the U.S., and
shower water is heated by generator, turned on in the morning
and evening. Showers during the day may be cooler.
Bug repellant is a good idea if you're going to visit the ruins,
as some are in jungle and have jungle sized insects.
The Mexican Department of Health requires that clothing be warn
in food service areas, so please wear a towel or sarong wrap on
the deck. We want to keep serving you!
Americans aren't used to seeing guys with machine guns walking
the beaches. The Mexican government has placed soldiers to
patrol the beach so we feel more secure and also to protect the
turtle egss and nests from predators — enjoy the protection in
the spirit it was intended… these guys don't bother people on
the beach.
